Here’s a small selection of places I can highly recommend.

Namibia Highlights – 16-Day Self Drive Adventure

  • ​Days 1–2: Windhoek & Kalahari Desert: Pick up your rental car and head south to the Kalahari. Enjoy the first desert sunsets and the tranquility of Namibia’s red sands.

  • Days 3–4: Namib-Naukluft Park & Sossusvlei: Hike the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei, visit Deadvlei, and experience the colors of the Namib Desert at sunrise.

  • Days 5–6: Swakopmund: Relax by the Atlantic Ocean, explore the desert by quad bike, or simply enjoy coffee and cake in one of the charming cafés.

  • Day 7: Erongo Mountains & Spitzkoppe: Drive along the Skeleton Coast to Cape Cross before heading inland to explore the fascinating rock landscapes of Spitzkoppe.

  • Days 8–9: Damaraland / Palmwag: Search for desert elephants and rhinos, and visit the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.

  • Days 10–12: Etosha National Park: Spend three days exploring one of Africa’s most famous parks — ideal for both self-drive and guided safaris.

  • Days 13–14: Otavi / Erindi Private Reserve: Unwind at a private game lodge surrounded by wildlife. Optional horseback riding, hiking, or a relaxing pool day.

  • Days 15–16: Windhoek & Departure: Spend your final night near Windhoek. Depending on your flight time, explore the city’s markets or enjoy a last Namibian dinner.

  1. Adventure Package – from CHF 1'710 p.p. → Rustic but comfortable lodges and guest farms, mostly with breakfast included. Vehicle: Suzuki Jimny 4x4.

  2. Safari Package – from CHF 2'670 p.p. → A mix of stylish lodges and safari tents with half board. Vehicle: Toyota Hilux 4x4.​

  3. Exclusive Package – from CHF 4'230 p.p. → Luxury lodges and exclusive chalets in prime locations. Half or full board included. Vehicle: Toyota Fortuner 4x4.
